and high-performers under pressure.

Meet Erik Wilkerson, Psy.D.

Men’s Therapist • Couples Therapist • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Specialist

I’m Erik Wilkerson, a licensed clinical psychologist and the founder of South Bay Men’s Therapy.

I’m not your typical psychologist. Before entering the field, I served as a Major in the Marine Corps, leading and mentoring men in high-pressure environments. Today, I bring that same steady, straightforward approach to both my therapy and clinical research activities.

Based in the South Bay, I proudly serve men and couples throughout San Jose and the surrounding Silicon Valley area. I am also licensed in Virginia and provide teletherapy to clients in Richmond and throughout Northern Virginia (Fairfax, Loudoun, Arlington, and Prince William Counties).

South Bay Men’s Therapy

Practical, Evidence-Based Therapy for Men and Couples

Men carry a lot on their shoulders: Work. Family. Relationships. Expectations.

Here in the Bay Area’s fast-paced environment, these pressures can take a real toll on your well-being. You deserve a clinician who is familiar with your real-world struggles, because your therapy shouldn’t feel abstract, agenda-driven, or disconnected from everyday life.

At South Bay Men’s Therapy (SBMT), you’ll find straightforward conversations, practical tools, and science-based treatment, all delivered with respect, clarity, and zero judgment.

For my doctoral work, I trained at the Stanford-affiliated PGSP Psy.D. Consortium. I have been trained by some of the best clinicians in the country, and I specialize in:
